Pilots visit foundry to see castings
On 22 November 04, four surviving Battle of Britain pilots
visited the Morris Singer foundry where the castings are being
made. They went to view progress on the monument and to see the
first spectacular castings.
They saw two sections of casting in their full glory. Each
bronze section weighs over three tons.
Lord Tebbit who is chairman of the fundraising committee hosted
the visit.
The reactions of everyone to their first viewing were universally
positive. You can read their reactions here.
