The Battle of Britain: The Camera's View

The Special Presentation Folio. A Fine Art Photographer's tribute to the Few by Roy Asser.

The Special Presentation Folio version of the book recognised as one of the most important pieces of Battle of Britain literature.

Books are individually laser printed on heavyweight paper and bound by hand. Each book is certified as having been produced for the purchaser.

The books consist of photographs of memorabilia of twenty-four surviving Battle of Britain veterans in 1988 – 1990 by the fine art photographer, Roy Asser. What makes the books so important is that those images are accompanied by correspondence between the veterans and the author, refining and perfecting the stories behind the images.

Because Roy Asser recognised the historic importance of the original documents, he donated them to The Imperial War Museum, where they are preserved in the Historic Documents Department.

As the books are bought by those who recognise the unique combination of priceless history encapsulated in a superbly presented folio, and wish to pass on their copy as an heirloom to future generations, each owner’s name is inscribed and bound into the book.

Books are sold exclusively through the RAF Benevolent Fund and take approximately 3 - 4 weeks to be despatched from the date of order.
