The Airmen's Stories - Sgt. C H S Sumpter

 

Claude Harry Sidney Sumpter was born in April 1918 and joined the RAF in May 1939 as an Aircrafthand. He joined 604 Squadron and qualified for the Battle of Britain Clasp by flying one sortie on 1st September 1940 in Blenheim L1285 with P/O PCF Lawton and Sgt. AW Cook..

His subsequent service is currently undocumented.

Sumpter died in June 1998 in Solihull.
