The Airmen's Stories - P/O E C Schollar

 

Edward Cranston Schollar was born on 30th August 1907 and joined the RAFVR in March 1939 as an Airman u/t Observer.

Called up on 1st September 1939, he completed his training, was commissioned and joined 248 Squadron from 5 BGS Jurby on 30th March 1940.

 

 

He was posted away in late May and rejoined 248 from No. 1(C) OTU Silloth on 26th June. Schollar served with the squadron throughout the Battle of Britain.

His subsequent service is currently undocumented until 1945 when he was released from the RAF as a Squadron Leader.

Schollar died in June 1968 in London.
