The Airmen's Stories - Sgt. E A Newham

 

Edward Arnold Newham was born on 10th September 1912 and joined the RAFVR in September 1939. He completed his training and joined 235 Squadron at Bircham Newton on 23rd September 1940 as a WOp/AG on Blenheims. He flew his first sortie on 26th September and his last on 14th October 1940.


He was commissioned in the Administrative Branch in November 1943 and released from the RAF in 1944 as a Flying Officer.

Newham died in March 1976 in Eastbourne.
