The Airmen's Stories - Sgt. K Massey

 

Kenneth Massey was born on 3rd May 1918 in Stoke-on-Trent and employed as a Surveyors Clerk when he joined the RAFVR about June 1939 as an Airman u/t Pilot.

Called up on 1st September 1939, he completed his training and joined 248 Squadron on 25th September 1940. His first sortie was on the 28th.

His subsequent service is currently undocumented until he was commissioned in January 1942.

Massey was released from the RAF in 1946 as a Flight Lieutenant.

He rejoined the RAFVR in June 1948.

Massey died in October 1999 in Cheshire.
