The Airmen's Stories - Sgt. T B Marshall

 

Thomas Brian Marshall was born on 17th November 1914 in Bognor Regis and was employed as a Municipal Engineer when he joined the RAFVR about July 1937 as an Airman u/t Pilot.

 

Above : he was married in October 1939.

 

Called up on 1st September 1939, he completed his training and joined 235 Squadron at Bircham Newton on 19th September 1940.

Commissioned in July 1941, he was possibly the P/O TB Marshall who joined 54 OTU at Church Fenton from CFS Upavon on 17th December 1941 as a flying instructor.

 

 

He was awarded the DFC (gazetted 20th April 1945) as an Acting Squadron Leader with 39 Squadron, operating Marauders from Biferno, Italy.

Marshall was released from the RAF in 1945.

He died in 1975 in London.
