The Airmen's Stories - Sgt. C A W Dixon

 

Christopher Alexander Wilfred Dixon was born in 1919 in Northampton and joined the RAFVR about June 1939 as an Airman u/t Pilot.

He was called up on 1st September 1939, completed his training and went to 7 OTU Hawarden in mid-August 1940.


He converted to Hurricanes and joined 601 Squadron at Debden on 4th September.

He was still serving with 601 in November 1940.

His subsequent service is currently undocumented until he was commissioned in April 1942.

Dixon left the RAF in early 1944.

He died on 23rd July 1977 in Saskatchewan, Canada.
