The Airmen's Stories - Sgt. R A Boswell

 

Reginald Arthur Boswell joined the RAFVR about October 1938 as an Airman u/t Pilot. He was called up on 1st September 1939, completed his flying training and was posted to 7 OTU Hawarden.

After converting to Spitfires he joined 266 Squadron at Wittering on 16th September 1940. Boswell flew no operational sorties with 266 and was posted to 19 Squadron at Fowlmere on 28th September.

He flew his first operational sortie on 9th October and was still serving with the squadron in November 1940.

His subsequent service is currently undocumented, very unusually there is no trace of him in wartime or postwar records after this date.
