The Airmen's Stories - Sgt. R B Price
Robert Buckton Price from Acomb, Yorkshire, joined the RAF in May 1936 as an Aircrafthand but later remustered as an Airman u/t Pilot and, after a short time with 54 Squadron in September 1940, joined 245 Squadron at Aldergrove on 27th September. He was then posted to 73 Squadron at Castle Camps on 14th October moving to 222 Squadron at Hornchurch on 23rd September. He was killed on 15th November 1941 as a Flight Sergeant with 33 Squadron, he was 24 years old and is remembered on the Alamein Memorial.
