Battle of Britain Thanksgiving Service in Westminster Abbey

The 2008 Battle of Britain Thanksgiving Service will be held in Westminster Abbey on Sunday 21st September at 11am.

Applications for tickets should be made in writing and state the names of all individuals wishing to attend. A stamped, self-addressed envelope must be enclosed. Please send applications to:

.............. to arrive by 4 July 2008, after which applications will not be considered.

Please note that this address differs from the one used in previous years.

If the demand for tickets proves excessive then it may be necessary to restrict the issue of tickets to a maximum of two per applicant (in previous years this has never happened).

To assist in arranging the seating layout applicants should state which of the following categories applies to them:

Former Battle of Britain aircrew,

Relatives of Battle of Britain aircrew now deceased, either during the war or since,

Past or present members of the RAF or its Reserve forces,

Members of the public.

Wheelchair users should identify themselves as such on their application.

Tickets and a note on timings and dress will be issued two weeks before the service.
